• The role
• We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the customer onboarding squad.
• You'll own the backend systems that sit at the heart of the customer journey — from initial registration through identity verification, compliance checks, and account activation.
• This is not a maintenance role.
• The platform is scaling and there is meaningful greenfield work ahead.
• What you'll be doing
• Designing and building scalable backend services in C# that power the customer onboarding experience
• Owning the full lifecycle of features — from architecture decisions through to production
• Working closely with product, compliance, and frontend engineers to deliver a seamless onboarding flow
• Building integrations with third party KYC, AML, and identity verification providers
• Ensuring systems are performant, secure, and reliable at scale on AWS
• Contributing to engineering standards, code reviews, and technical direction across the team
• What we're looking for
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong C# and .NET
• Solid AWS experience — comfortable across core services (Lambda, RDS, SQS, S3, API Gateway)
• Experience building financial or regulated platforms — fintech, banking, payments or similar
• Understanding of KYC, AML, or customer onboarding flows is a strong advantage
• Strong fundamentals — microservices, REST APIs, event-driven architecture
• Someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and cares about the quality of what they ship
