Prepare bakery products and other food to recipe, quality, and presentation standards.
This is a full-time, non-management role at the Doha hotel location.
Bakery and kitchen duties
- Prepare breads and pastries, including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating.
- Use production sheets to plan daily baked goods and follow recipes, quality standards, and food preparation checklists.
- Maintain food safety logs and follow food handling and personal hygiene procedures.
- Use baking and measuring equipment safely; check temperatures and report equipment or food issues.
- Monitor food quality and portions, and inform the Chef of excess food for daily specials planning.
Team and general duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, protect company assets, and support team goals.
- Meet physical requirements that include handling objects up to 25 pounds and standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 2 years of related work experience.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is required.
