The role analyzes business and information needs and designs systems solutions appropriate to business needs and the organization’s information-systems architecture.
The role also recommends improvements to existing IT systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze business needs, gather requirements, and define project scope and objectives.
- Recommend technology solutions or process improvements using new or existing technology.
- Translate business requirements into application requirements and work with the team to execute the application successfully.
- Engage client teams, explain moderately complex initiatives, and address their concerns.
- Estimate system-solution costs and prepare project plans to inform project prioritization and IT resource allocation.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for system users and ongoing system operation, maintenance and development.
- Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience with financial applications or financial domains is preferred.
- Experience with JIRA and Microsoft Visio is preferred.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills are preferred.
