About This Role
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments across multiple platforms including OCI, Azure, ExaCC, and on-premise infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle, MS SQL, and MySQL databases, ensuring high availability, security, performance, and reliability within managed service environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer client database environments while ensuring security, integrity, and availability.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database systems and related tools.
- Perform database backup, recovery, patching, and disaster recovery activities.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshooting issues proactively.
- Manage databases across OCI, Azure, ExaCC, and on-premise platforms.
- Implement performance tuning strategies to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
- Ensure database compliance, security standards, and best practices are maintained.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and support teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for database improvements and scalability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MySQL databases.
- Solid understanding of RDBMS, ATP, database architecture, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
- Experience managing complex database environments within managed service operations.
- Exposure to cloud database platforms such as OCI and Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
