We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, secure, and support enterprise-scale database environments across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud platforms.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SQL Server administration, cloud database services, high availability architectures, disaster recovery planning, performance optimization, and enterprise data platforms.
This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence of mission-critical databases supporting business applications, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–8 years of hands-on Database Administration experience in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in high-availability environments.
- Experience supporting hybrid and multi-cloud database platforms, particularly Azure and GCP.
- Hands-on experience with backup and recovery, replication, performance tuning, and database operations.
- Exposure to enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms is highly desirable.
- Experience with automation, scripting, and operational best practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Database Administration & Operations
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise database platforms across on-premises, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Manage database lifecycle activities including provisioning, patching, backup, recovery, and migrations.
- Perform database health checks and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Ensure platform stability, availability, and operational readiness.
Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Database Management
- Support hybrid and multi-cloud database environments integrating on-premises, Azure, and GCP platforms.
- Administer Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Microsoft Fabric, and Google Cloud database services.
- Support cloud migration, modernization, and integration initiatives.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Manage replication, clustering, failover mechanisms, and backup strategies.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
Performance & Capacity Management
- Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
- Perform query optimization, indexing, and database tuning activities.
- Support capacity planning and future growth requirements.
Data Warehouse & Analytics Support
- Support enterprise data warehouse and analytics platforms.
- Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of data environments.
- Manage data refresh, loading, and scheduling processes.
Security & Compliance
- Implement database security controls including access management, encryption, auditing, and monitoring.
- Support vulnerability remediation, patching, and security hardening activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and data governance standards.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop automation scripts and streamline routine database administration tasks.
- Support database upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, infrastructure teams, application owners, and business stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and recommendations for database-related initiatives.
- Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively across teams.
