About the Role

We are seeking a Data Privacy Lawyer to support a leading organisation's Data Privacy Office in ensuring compliance with applicable global and local data protection regulations.

This role will focus on privacy risk management, regulatory compliance, legal advisory services, and privacy support across business and technology initiatives.

The successful candidate will be a legal professional with experience in data protection, privacy law, regulatory compliance, and technology-related legal matters.

Key Responsibilitie

  • Support privacy risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking activities
  • Maintain and update the Privacy Risk Register
  • Support Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default initiatives
  • Assist with Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and data inventories
  • Monitor developments in global privacy regulations, including GDPR and equivalent frameworks
  • Draft, review, and maintain privacy policies, notices, procedures, and legal guidanc
  • Support Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and privacy rights requests
  • Provide legal input into Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • Provide privacy advisory support to business and technology projects
  • Support regulatory audits, compliance reviews, and privacy governance initiatives

Requiremen

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent
  • 2–3 years' experience in a legal counsel, privacy, compliance, or related legal role
  • Experience advising on data protection, privacy, compliance, or technology law matters
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and similar privacy frameworks
  • Experience drafting legal documents, policies, and compliance materials
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Qualificati

  • Experience conducting DPIAs and P
  • Exposure to vendor agreements, data processing agreements, and data-sharing arrangements
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits and compliance reviews
  • CIPP/E or equivalent privacy certification
  • Arabic and English language skills are advantage

Contract Details

  • Initial 12-month contract
  • Extension possible upon mutual agreement
  • On-site role based in Dubai, UAE
