Key Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor Data Engineers and manage their career growth and performance.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, architectural discussions, and system design.
• Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and deliver trusted data products with measurable business impact.
• Define and report key performance indicators and launch impact and contribute to annual and quarterly OKR setting.
• Guide scalable data architectures, including Data Mesh and Medallion approaches, for advanced AI and agentic flows.
• Own data platform reliability, security, and cost efficiency and promote a build-and-run ownership culture.

Technology Stack

• The platform uses Azure Databricks, Python, and PySpark for high-scale processing and analytics.
• The stack uses dbt for data modeling and Azure Data Factory for cloud-native ingestion.
• Apache Airflow supports workflow orchestration and GitHub supports the CI/CD culture.

Qualifications

• Several years of progressive experience in data engineering, including at least 3–5 years in leadership or management.
• Proven experience as a hands-on builder in cloud-based data environments; Azure Databricks experience is preferred.
• Success developing engineering talent and building high-performing, autonomous teams.
• Ability to connect technical implementation with C-suite business strategy.
• Experience handling large-scale technical ambiguity and delivering solutions that impact company revenue.
