Role overview

Analytics Engineer Senior Associate in the Risk Management and Compliance Data Analytics and Intelligent Automation team.

Supports the analytics engineering roadmap for cloud-native BI and analytics, using Databricks as the primary platform.

Works across the Lakehouse stack, from ingestion through governed semantic models and self-service consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end Databricks pipelines with DLT, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for governance, lineage, and access controls.
  • Build Python/PySpark ingestion and integration pipelines to consume company data products into the Lakehouse; use Alteryx or Prophecy as feeder tools where appropriate.
  • Create a governed Databricks SQL self-service layer with curated semantic models, intuitive views, and controlled exposure.
  • Partner with data product owners and data architects on cataloging, lineage, ownership, and entitlements.
  • Turn data into actionable narratives and decisions through clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deliver executive-ready dashboards and self-service analytics in Tableau and/or Sigma on Databricks-served data.
  • Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, while independently validating generated code and documentation.

Required qualifications

  • Degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of applied experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Independently design, write, test, and maintain ETL pipelines; strong SQL and production-grade Python/PySpark experience.
  • Experience building and executing pipelines on Databricks.
  • Experience with self-service analytics platforms, semantic layers, BI data models, and governed virtualization for non-technical users.
  • Strong communication and customer-centric skills; able to clarify business-user requirements and support adoption.
  • Comfort with change management and access control in a controlled environment; working knowledge of Git, Jules, and ServiceNow.

Preferred qualifications

  • Hands-on Alteryx and Prophecy experience for ETL pipeline development is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud environments supporting data workloads is preferred.
  • Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, or Audit experience is preferred; alternatively, ability to rapidly develop risk and regulatory fluency.
