Role overview

Strategic engineering role focused on evaluating emerging technologies, developing future data center infrastructure, and supporting next-generation mission-critical systems.

Emphasizes future capability development, technical evaluation, validation, and engineering studies rather than primarily delivering designs.

Works with Global Solutions Architects, Engineering, and Product Management to assess trends, validate concepts, and influence technical direction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering expertise for LV, MV, UPS, energy storage, and other applicable data center electrical systems and solutions.
  • Conduct engineering analyses and recommend improvements; support vendor approvals for programmatic purchases and provide ad hoc customer design support.
  • Collaborate across Design & Bid, engineering, operations, and business teams to implement electrical projects and address complex challenges.
  • Monitor research, industry trends, and technologies to drive innovation in electrical design and Eaton’s data center offering.
  • Work with local authorities having jurisdiction to meet IEC, EU requirements, and building codes.
  • Define project scope and provide technical information-request support before and during construction.
  • Represent Eaton as an industry solutions expert; build trusted relationships with clients, consultants, partners, and industry peers.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns and activities supporting client relationships and business.
  • Work on concurrent projects; support site reviews and field engineers, and conduct engineering evaluations, electrical audits, and startup when needed.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • More than eight years of experience in data center systems design engineering.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with a customer-oriented technical advisory approach.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Familiarity and experience working to NFPA 70 and UL design standards is highly desirable.
