Infrastructure and operations
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Monitor operations and respond to alerts; maintain infrastructure availability, security, and reliability.
- Design and manage server, storage, network, and virtualization infrastructure.
- Plan migrations, consolidations, and expansions; oversee day-to-day operations and a team of technicians and engineers.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to meet service levels.
Security, compliance, and facilities
- Develop data center policies, procedures, and standards and ensure regulatory and industry compliance.
- Configure network devices and implement physical security, access control, and cybersecurity measures.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents.
- Oversee power, cooling, environmental systems, and facility installation, maintenance, and repairs.
- Develop energy-efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
