This is an eight-month contract role with a hybrid model requiring two days at the Vaughan, Ontario head office.
Responsibilities
- Gather stakeholder requirements and convert business challenges into analytics solutions; own scalable reporting and BI solution delivery.
- Build dashboards, scorecards, and governed self-service analytics; analyze enterprise data with advanced SQL and work with Data Engineering on reusable data assets.
- Lead discovery workshops, define metrics and acceptance criteria, and communicate findings through data storytelling.
- Identify trends, root causes, and process improvements; use AI-enabled tools to automate workflows and improve insight development.
- Monitor analytics, process mining, and AI developments to identify innovation opportunities.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Five or more years in data analytics, BI, reporting, or related analytical roles is preferred.
- Advanced SQL skills and extensive dashboard and visual analytics experience are required.
- Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms; cloud analytics platforms such as BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, or comparable tools.
- Strong understanding of dashboard design, self-service analytics, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and analytical data structures.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, stakeholder alignment, problem-solving, and cross-functional Agile experience.
- AI-assisted development and prompt engineering experience; Looker, GCP, SAP data structures, and enterprise business processes are listed as preferred qualifications.
