Data Analyst II supports finance and other functions with analytical solutions and data-driven decision-making.
The role contributes to product success metrics and improved decision-making in a high-growth startup.
Responsibilities
- Drive business impact with actionable insights and identify opportunities for rapid growth.
- Build accurate, actionable dashboards.
- Partner with data engineering on product-team data enrichment needs.
- Work with business stakeholders to prioritize impactful projects and drive delivery.
- Develop processes to identify, analyze, and interpret trends in complex datasets.
- Ensure governance and good analytical practices throughout the process.
Experience and education
- Requires 5+ years of data analytics experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or another analytical field; relevant experience and knowledge can qualify graduates from other fields.
Technical and domain skills
- Hands-on Python or R experience manipulating large datasets and demonstrated proficiency in one or more SQL implementations, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, are required.
- Requires experience with one or more data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik.
- Understanding of a domain such as Finance, Risk, or Product is required.
- Machine learning experience in R or Python is a plus; Apache Superset dashboard experience and high-growth startup or unicorn experience are bonuses.
