Role overview

Technical subject matter expert for Data and AI, supporting presales, advisory, and go-to-market execution of the AI Foundry practice.

Helps GCC clients move from AI experimentation to governed, production-grade programs through architectures, demonstrations, and proofs of concept.

Location and work arrangement

  • Based at GBM UAE headquarters, with regional travel across the GCC.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive technical presales across data lakehouse, data integration, generative and agentic AI, and governance solutions.
  • Run client discovery workshops, prioritize AI use cases, and shape strategies and roadmaps.
  • Design end-to-end architectures from discovery and data readiness through deployment, security, and governance.
  • Deliver demonstrations, proofs of concept, and proofs of value with clear success criteria.
  • Maintain expertise in IBM watsonx, IBM data integration, and Red Hat OpenShift AI.
  • Own technical proposal and RFP content, estimates, assumptions, and handover to delivery teams.
  • Coordinate with data consultants and AI engineers on governed data foundations, reusable assets, and accelerators.
  • Address responsible AI, data residency, and GCC regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, client events, partner enablement, and certifications.

Required skills and experience

  • 8+ years in enterprise technology, including 5+ years specializing in data, AI, machine learning, or data science; presales or solution architecture experience is ideal.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM watsonx or equivalent enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
  • Strong understanding of LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and model evaluation.
  • Solid grounding in data architecture and AI governance and risk frameworks.
  • Practical Python and AI/ML tooling skills; ability to build demos and prototypes quickly.
  • Proven ability to lead technical presales and advisory sessions with senior business and technology leaders.
  • Enterprise AI use-case delivery across industries; GCC experience is preferred.
  • IBM watsonx certifications are highly advantageous; cloud or Red Hat certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling; Arabic is an advantage.
