About the role

Implementation and data engineering

• Configure and develop in customer sandboxes and production using Data 360 configuration, SQL, Apex, Flow, Python, APIs, Salesforce DX, CLI, Git, Data Kits, and deployment tooling as needed.
• Build ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution across batch and streaming sources; optimize materialized data views for application, analytics, and agent workloads.
• Create representative test data and validate happy paths, edge cases, access boundaries, hierarchy behavior, failures, and customer-scale volumes.
• Build and maintain RAG, vector database, search index, and knowledge-base integrations for Agentforce.
• Implement MCP and agent-to-agent communication protocols and connect Agentforce to enterprise applications.
• Apply data governance and secure integration practices across structured and unstructured Salesforce and external data.
• Use message queues, event-driven architecture, and distributed systems to build resilient workflows and secure authentication and authorization.
• Troubleshoot ingestion, mapping, schema, identity, query, activation latency, API, permissions, and consumption problems using logs and query evidence.
• Document implementation trade-offs, co-build with customer teams, package reusable assets, support deployment and stabilization, and share platform gaps with Product and Support.

Experience and technical qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or technical implementation, including a production data solution the candidate can explain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on Salesforce Data 360/Data Cloud or comparable enterprise data platform experience across ingestion, modelling, identity, insights, activation, and operations.
• Experience building data pipelines and integrations with at least one enterprise platform or technology, such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka, cloud object storage, or enterprise MDM.
• Proficient in SQL and fluent in at least one of Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Understanding of data modelling, APIs, integration patterns, batch and streaming, and copied, federated, and Zero Copy access.
• Experience building AI retrieval systems and implementing secure service-to-service integrations; familiarity with MCP and agent-to-agent communication is sought.
• Able to implement and test secure data access, diagnose issues methodically, document results, and recognize when architectural or security-owner guidance is needed.
• Experience delivering with customers, partners, professional services, or implementation teams in deadline-driven environments.
• Relevant Salesforce Agentforce, Data 360, and Salesforce Platform certifications are cited.
