The Cyber Security Consultant protects organizational digital assets, information systems, and critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and threat analysis.
- Evaluate vulnerabilities across networks, operating systems, web servers, databases, and applications.
- Assess the security impact of new technologies and business systems.
- Develop security strategies, policies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Lead security audits and compliance reviews.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats and recommend preventive controls.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify infrastructure weaknesses and recommend remediation solutions.
- Support incident response, security governance, and business continuity initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, risk management, or security consulting.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and COBIT.
- Experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing reviews, and security audits.
- CISSP, CISM, CEH, CRISC, Security+, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer certifications are preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
