About the Role
The Customer Billing Engineer owns the billing pipeline for AI compute services from usage collection through customer invoicing.
The role supports sovereign cloud, hyperscale data center, and NVIDIA GPU cluster services for enterprise AI training and inference.
The position covers metering, rating, invoicing, reconciliation, and customer billing enquiries.
What You’ll Do
- Collect usage across Kubernetes, Slurm, Run:ai, DCGM, and storage.
- Configure pricing tiers, commitments, and discounts in the billing platform.
- Generate and issue enterprise invoices.
- Handle billing disputes using supporting evidence.
- Integrate billing with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite ERP systems.
- Integrate billing with Salesforce CRM.
- Automate manual billing work.
- Track invoice accuracy, dispute rate, and days sales outstanding.
What You Bring
- At least 4 years of experience in billing operations or a hybrid engineering and finance-systems role at a cloud, SaaS, or telecommunications provider.
- Hands-on experience with Zuora, Chargebee, Metronome, Stripe Billing, or a similar platform.
- Python and SQL skills for reconciliation and reporting.
- Solid understanding of cloud and GPU pricing models.
Bonus Qualifications
- GPU-hour or high-performance computing billing exposure.
- Tax engine experience.
- CMA, CPA, or CA certification.
