Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping activities and maintain accurate financial transaction records.
• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, issue client invoices, and maintain Accounts Receivable records.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments, collect receivables, and visit clients for payment collection or document submission when required.
• Record collected payments, outstanding balances, and collection status, and reconcile customer accounts.
• Prepare statements of account and payment reminders and coordinate with sales and finance teams.
• Handle cash and cheque collections and ensure timely submission to the company.
• Assist with bank reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, financial reports, auditing, taxation, and other finance tasks.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of UAE experience in accounting, collections, or a related field is mandatory.
• A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP or Tally Prime is mandatory.
• Experience with Bazar Accounting System is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, bank reconciliation, and general ledger management is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Candidates must be able to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and travel within the UAE when required.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
• The role may require travel within the UAE and visits to customers for collections.
