Credit Analyst

Provide full support to branches and DSUs by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely manner and within approved policies.

Provide full support to branches and DSUs by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely manner and within approved policies.
The position supports underwriting, customer capture within acceptable parameters, portfolio quality, and business targets.
Application review and analysis
- Check applications for completeness and timely information, note exceptions, prepare accurate credit documents, apply de-duplication checks, and observe turnaround times.
- Analyze bank statements for authenticity, continuity, turnovers, returned cheques, average balances, and signs of artificial fabrication.
- Analyze applicants' financial statements where required and check customer status through de-duplication and CBRB.
- Escalate cases requiring higher delegated powers with analysis and recommendations; meet daily targets while maintaining low error rates.
Business support and controls
- Support monthly business budgets and targets while maintaining portfolio quality and capturing customers within acceptable parameters and Central Bank regulations.
- Contribute to daily underwriting and provide constructive comments on finance applications.
- Improve communication with branches and DSUs and comply with required operational controls and policies.
- Maintain knowledge of ADIB products, policies, and procedures; recommend system changes and enhancements and support implementation.
- Perform other tasks assigned by ADIB management.
Specialist knowledge and experience
- At least three years of practical banking experience, preferably in finance and credit.
- Good credit and analytical skills and knowledge.
- Detailed knowledge of ADIB Retail Banking credit products and services and broad knowledge of ADIB Retail Credit and Operational Policies and Procedures.
- Good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
- Good communication and computer skills.
