The role involves counter sales, customer enquiries, product presentation, and daily sales operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, identify their needs, and recommend suitable products.
- Handle counter sales, enquiries, and product questions professionally.
- Maintain displays, pricing labels, and counter cleanliness.
- Process billing, cash handling, and POS transactions where applicable.
- Work toward assigned daily and monthly sales targets.
- Monitor stock and coordinate replenishment with store or inventory teams.
- Maintain customer relationships and handle complaints professionally.
- Follow company policies, sales procedures, and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the sales team and keep accurate records, reporting discrepancies to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous counter, retail, or hypermarket sales experience is preferred; 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Good verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills; a positive attitude.
- Basic billing-system, POS-machine, and cash-handling knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to explain product features, promote sales, work in a fast-paced retail environment, and contribute to a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
