Farhood Group seeks a reliable, organized cost accountant for a cosmetics and perfumes manufacturing company.
Key responsibilities
- Calculate and monitor direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead costs.
- Compare standard and actual production costs and investigate discrepancies or inefficiencies.
- Reconcile inventory accounts, track work-in-progress and finished goods, and manage stock valuation methods.
- Assist management with annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and financial modeling.
- Perform accruals, journal entries, and cost-related reconciliations during the monthly close.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and warehouse teams on cost savings and process improvements.
- Provide documentation and assistance for internal and external financial audits.
Experience and education
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing accounting in the UAE.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial models, and in Al Ameen software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and results-oriented.
