Lead contracts management for major capital, construction, infrastructure, and engineering consultancy projects.
The role covers pre-award procurement and post-award contract administration across the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Lead preparation, review, and negotiation of tender and contract documentation for major capital and infrastructure projects.
- Manage contractual activities from tendering and award through execution, close-out, and final settlement.
- Advise project teams on variations, claims, extensions of time, disputes, and commercial risk management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, procurement policies, governance requirements, and approval frameworks.
- Review payment applications, contractor performance, contractual correspondence, and project-related commercial matters.
- Engage consultants, contractors, legal advisors, and project delivery teams to safeguard contractual interests.
Ideal candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in contracts management, procurement, construction, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience in both pre-award and post-award contract processes and large-scale construction or capital project contracts.
- Solid knowledge of FIDIC contracts; SANAD forms experience is highly desirable.
- Experience handling claims, variations, extensions of time, dispute resolution, and contract negotiations.
- Government, semi-government, or regulated project exposure is highly advantageous.
- FCCM, MRICS, MCIArb, CCM, or similar professional certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
