Role Overview
The Contract Manager is responsible for preparing, reviewing, issuing, and maintaining commercial agreements across various business functions.
The role ensures that all contracts are accurate, compliant with company standards, properly approved, and effectively documented throughout their lifecycle.
The position supports internal stakeholders by managing contract administration activities, maintaining organized records, monitoring compliance, and ensuring timely execution and follow-up of contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and issue commercial contracts and related documentation.
- Ensure all agreements accurately reflect approved commercial terms, conditions, and operational requirements.
- Verify completeness, accuracy, and consistency of contract documentation prior to execution.
- Coordinate internal approvals and ensure contracts are signed in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized contract records, including filing, archiving, version control, and document tracking.
- Monitor contract validity, expirations, renewals, amendments, and outstanding actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and approval frameworks.
- Support stakeholders with contract-related clarifications, summaries, and documentation requests.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between contractual obligations and operational activities.
- Track and report on contract status, turnaround times, compliance metrics, and pending approvals.
- Identify opportunities to improve contract administration processes, workflow efficiency, and document management practices.
- Assist in resolving routine contractual discrepancies and administrative issues.
- Prepare periodic reports and maintain accurate contract databases and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in contract management, commercial administration, or a related function.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and review.
- Good understanding of commercial terms and contractual processes.
- Strong organizational and document management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
