About Calo

Calo provides personalized meal plans through an app using nutritional algorithms and was built by chefs, nutritionists, and software engineers.

Launched in Bahrain in 2019, Calo expanded to six countries and is extending its healthy-eating mission into retail and other verticals.

Why the role matters

The role will build Calo’s organic presence in the UAE and turn ideas, trends, and everyday brand moments into engaging content.

The creator owns daily organic content across Instagram and TikTok to build a recognizable voice, grow the audience, and increase attention in the UAE.

What you’ll do

  • Own the UAE organic content strategy and calendar across Instagram and TikTok.
  • Develop locally relevant ideas, formats, series, and stories; create content from ideation through publishing.
  • Produce content in English and Arabic and work with products, people, locations, and internal teams.
  • Monitor UAE trends and culture, manage channel interactions, and develop recurring recognizable formats.
  • Track performance, test creative approaches, and use insights to improve content.
  • Organize the content pipeline, calendar, and footage library; align with marketing colleagues on priorities and campaigns.

What they’re looking for

  • Experience creating Instagram and TikTok content, ideally for a brand or consumer-focused business.
  • Strong understanding of social trends, formats, and engaging content; hands-on shooting, editing, scripting, and copywriting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE audiences, culture, and social media; fluent English and Arabic with natural content creation in both.
  • Creative, data-aware, organized, comfortable experimenting, and able to manage work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera or using voiceover when needed, and able to create around other people, characters, and formats.
