We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Physician – Ophthalmology** to join one of our prestigious government healthcare clients in Abu Dhabi.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled ophthalmology specialist to be part of a leading healthcare institution committed to delivering world-class patient care and advanced clinical excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, extensive surgical exposure, and a **well-documented surgical logbook** demonstrating expertise across a wide range of ophthalmic procedures.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced diagnostic and surgical expertise in Ophthalmology
  • Strong experience in cataract, glaucoma, retina, and corneal procedures
  • Comprehensive patient assessment and treatment planning
  • Expertise in managing complex ophthalmic cases

  • Commitment to patient safety and quality of care
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of eye diseases and vision disorders
  • Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures in accordance with best clinical practices
  • Evaluate and manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff when required
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and surgical logbooks
  • Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives, and case reviews
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and clinical governance standards

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree with specialization in Ophthalmology
  • Board Certification / Fellowship in Ophthalmology (American Board, Canadian Board, CCT UK, European Board, or equivalent)

• Valid DOH License And Eligibility (preferred)

  • Minimum relevant consultant-level experience in a reputable healthcare facility
  • Strong and clear surgical logbook is required
