Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled

Head & Neck Surgeon

to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai.

The successful candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and multidisciplinary management of benign and malignant diseases affecting the head and neck region.

The role requires expertise in complex oncologic surgery, salivary gland disorders, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, airway management, and reconstructive procedures while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with diseases affecting the head and neck, including tumors, thyroid disorders, salivary gland diseases, congenital abnormalities, and complex infections.
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures involving the oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, thyroid, parathyroid, salivary glands, neck, and upper aerodigestive tract.
  • Diagnose and surgically manage benign and malignant head and neck tumors, adhering to evidence-based oncological principles.
  • Perform thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, neck dissection, salivary gland surgery, airway reconstruction, tracheostomy, and other complex head and neck procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, reconstructive surgeons, speech and language therapists, nutritionists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Conduct preoperative assessments, obtain informed consent, and ensure patients are medically optimized for surgery.
  • Provide comprehensive postoperative care, monitor recovery, manage complications, and coordinate rehabilitation services.
  • Perform outpatient consultations, follow-up evaluations, and long-term surveillance for patients with head and neck diseases.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging, pathology reports, laboratory investigations, and endoscopic findings to guide clinical decision-making.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
  • Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education, research, and clinical governance initiatives where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and international best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in

or

General Surgery

, followed by fellowship or subspecialty training in

Head & Neck Surgery

  • Board Certification or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in Head & Neck Surgery.
  • Minimum
  • 3–5 years
  • of post-specialization experience for Specialist level or
  • 8–10 years
  • for Consultant level in Head & Neck Surgery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in head and neck oncology, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, salivary gland surgery, airway surgery, and neck dissections.
  • Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient counseling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and multicultural healthcare environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Fellowship training in Head & Neck Oncology, Microvascular Reconstruction, or Skull Base Surgery.
  • Experience with minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical techniques.
  • Participation in clinical research, publications, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with JCI accreditation standards and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
