Overview

Apt Resources is looking for a visionary Consultant Chef to join a leading Fresh Produce processing company.

This role is pivotal to the development and innovation of new products, recipes, and processes that enhance the quality and appeal of fresh produce offerings.

The Consultant Chef will collaborate with the production team to create culinary solutions that cater to market trends and customer preferences.

You will be responsible for providing expert guidance on culinary techniques, flavor pairings, and presentation methods that ensure the highest quality of fresh produce products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative recipes and product concepts using fresh produce that meet market demands.
  • Consult on food processing techniques, cooking methods, and preservation methods to maximize flavor and quality.
  • Train and mentor production staff in the implementation of culinary techniques that enhance product quality.
  • Conduct taste tests, sensory evaluations, and product development trials to refine recipes.
  • Stay current with market trends and emerging culinary practices to inform product development.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create promotional materials that highlight new products.
  • Ensure that all culinary innovation complies with food safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Chef, Culinary Consultant, or in a similar culinary role.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in food science or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of food processing and preservation methods.
  • Creative and innovative mindset, with the ability to develop unique culinary concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for fresh produce and commitment to quality.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for product development and training sessions.
