Role overview

Structural construction delivery

• Plan and manage bridges, piers, abutments, decks, underpasses, culverts, retaining walls, and foundations.
• Supervise piling, pile caps, formwork, reinforcement, post-tensioning, precast erection, and concreting.
• Review construction drawings, method statements, temporary-works designs, material submissions, and work programmes.
• Manage manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and daily construction activities.

Coordination, controls, and handover

• Coordinate with RTA, consultants, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, internal teams, and other project disciplines.
• Monitor progress, productivity, cost, quality, safety, and compliance with the approved programme; address issues and delays with corrective measures.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, approvals, and closure of quality observations and non-conformance reports.
• Ensure safe lifting, scaffolding, formwork, temporary works, and work-at-height activities.
• Prepare progress reports, resource forecasts, recovery plans, and records; support approvals, as-builts, handover, and close-out.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in structural construction for roads, highways, bridges, or major infrastructure projects; the source gives conflicting ranges of 8–15 and 15–20 years.
• Strong experience in reinforced-concrete structures, bridges, underpasses, culverts, and retaining walls.
• Knowledge of piling, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, post-tensioning, precast erection, and temporary works.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, construction sequences, and method statements.
• Strong leadership, planning, coordination, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; knowledge of UAE construction practices, quality standards, and EHS requirements.
• RTA road or highway project experience in Dubai and delivery of major RTA structures in Dubai/UAE are preferred.
