The hands-on role coordinates teams, resolves issues, manages procurement, and supports timely delivery of renewable energy solutions.
Coordination and Scheduling
- Facilitate meetings with engineering, procurement, quality, and operations teams.
- Prioritize tasks and allocate yard space for efficient builds.
- Conduct daily yard huddles and resolve conflicts or escalate them when necessary.
- Build and track schedules for foundations, erections, and testing using MS Project or Excel.
- Provide weekly reports on progress, risks, efficiency, and material use.
Procurement and Quality
- Procure components, process purchase orders, and track shipments according to procurement guidelines.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to processes, tooling, or design.
- Assist engineering with prototype tests and mentor staff on quality and procurement.
- Update digital logs with as-built information and daily test results.
Safety and Operations
- Conduct safety briefings and hazard assessments.
- Enforce applicable industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready records.
- Drive lean manufacturing and Kaizen improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and calibration schedules.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in construction coordination, solar installations, manufacturing, trackers, or renewable energy.
- Expertise in the solar tracker industry and ability to identify mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root cause analysis experience.
- Knowledge of product design validation processes, tools, and standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
