Job Summary

The Conference Director is responsible for planning, developing, and managing conference programs alongside exhibitions and trade shows.

The role focuses on creating relevant content, securing industry-leading speakers, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring the commercial success of conference events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conference themes, agendas, and content strategies.
  • Research industry trends and identify relevant topics.
  • Recruit and manage speakers, moderators, and industry experts.
  • Build relationships with sponsors, partners, associations, and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to drive delegate attendance and sponsorship revenue.
  • Oversee conference delivery and ensure a high-quality attendee experience.
  • Manage conference budgets and monitor event performance.
  • Lead and mentor the conference production team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in conference production, exhibitions, or events.
  • Strong leadership, communication, networking, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop successful conference programs and manage stakeholder relationships.
