The central data platform supports the CCOR data strategy and innovation agenda through AI/ML, advanced analytics, and automation.
Data product and project delivery
- Implement strategic data solutions aligned with business operations and organizational objectives.
- Own one or more CCOR data product lines for CCOR Data Lake implementation, including requirements, product design, test planning and oversight, prioritization, and technology-partner delivery.
- Manage project execution and milestones and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
- Ensure critical data is documented for meaning and purpose and classified with metadata for understanding and control.
Data lifecycle and team leadership
- Develop and oversee processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate lifecycle risks involving data protection, retention, storage, use, and quality.
- Partner with CDO and technology teams to design and develop data management tools and processes.
- Develop data visualization, analytics, and automation prototypes with CCOR Digital teams and product owners.
- Communicate and resolve data issues promptly and consistently to maintain data integrity and consumer trust.
- Manage and guide direct or matrixed staff on data-related tasks and initiatives.
Required qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in a related area.
- At least 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, risk management/analytics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership, ability to manage delivery timelines, and experience keeping work on track to meet goals.
- In-depth understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks, and lifecycle management, including data protection, quality, and classification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data concepts into business strategies.
- Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and senior audiences; experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build stakeholder relationships and manage large-scale data projects.
- Experience with large-scale data lake or data-warehousing projects; knowledge of data and process modeling; hands-on SQL writing knowledge.
Preferred experience
- Experience with Tableau, QlikView, ThoughtSpot, or other reporting and analytics tools is a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML techniques is a plus.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
