Lead the project safely and efficiently from mechanical completion through handover and start-up.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage commissioning teams across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process disciplines.
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies, procedures, and schedules.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and the client during system turnover and handover.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, permit-to-work, and Safe Control of Work requirements.
- Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance testing activities.
- Manage punch lists, completion systems such as ICAPS or equivalent, and close-out documentation.
- Report progress, risks, and KPIs to project management and client representatives.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years in oil and gas, including 8+ years in commissioning leadership.
- Proven experience on onshore or offshore EPC projects; Middle East experience is ideal.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning methodologies, completion management systems, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Qatar regulations and client requirements is a strong advantage.
