Role purpose

Prepare and execute commissioning activities for electrical systems across the project scope.

Interface with company and EPSCC contractor teams to support safe, timely, compliant commissioning.

Supervise and coordinate commissioning activities with the team and contractors.

Act as Electrical Isolation Authority during commissioning execution for electrical networks above 20 kV.

Support ICAPS population, punch-list resolution, and system handover readiness.

Commissioning preparation

  • Review and validate electrical commissioning procedures, check sheets, and test plans in alignment with OPERCOM methodology.
  • Ensure ICAPS is correctly populated for electrical systems and interfaces.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors to plan factory acceptance tests, electrical testing, and system integration.
  • Participate in risk assessments and embed electrical requirements in commissioning plans.
  • Support definition of system boundaries and interface logic between electrical components.
  • Ensure temporary equipment, systems, and tools required for commissioning are ready.
  • Engage Field Operations early to align commissioning activities and transfer knowledge.

Commissioning execution

  • Supervise on-site electrical commissioning in compliance with HSE standards, project specifications, and schedule.
  • Coordinate safe energization and functional testing with vendors and contractors.
  • Prepare and implement on-site electrical isolations and de-isolations above 20 kV as Electrical Isolation Authority.
  • Ensure electrical task risk assessments are prepared and implemented on site.
  • Ensure safe energization using temporary and permanent power sources.
  • Coordinate operational tests with contractors and involve Field Operations and Maintenance teams.
  • Monitor progress, manage punch-list clearance, and keep ICAPS documentation updated.
  • Support the Completion Coordinator in achieving RFC, AOC/RFSU, and TOM milestones for electrical systems.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings and share lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 10+ years in oil and gas projects as a Commissioning Electrical Specialist.
  • Experience with major electrical vendors, including Schneider, ABB, and Siemens.
  • Familiarity with OPERCOM and ICAPS is highly appreciated.
  • Experience as a Commissioning Electrical Authority is a plus.
  • Certified to work with both HV and LV electrical networks.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
