Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Commis Bakery/Pastry Chef with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a bakery or pastry environment to join our dynamic and high-performing culinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exquisite pastries, desserts, and baked goods, with a keen eye for quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities**

  • Take an active role in the preparation and production of a wide range of premium pastries, cakes, breads, and baked goods.
  • Consistently follow recipes to produce high-quality products, ensuring precision and consistency with every batch.
  • Work alongside senior pastry chefs to contribute to the development of innovative recipes and seasonal offerings.
  • Uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of pastry and bakery production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation, ensuring all pastry equipment and tools are properly maintained.
  • Assist with inventory management, monitoring stock levels of essential baking ingredients.
  • Ensure the proper storage and handling of all ingredients to guarantee freshness and quality.
  • Support the plating and presentation of desserts and pastries to elevate the overall guest experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with the team to maintain seamless kitchen operations.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a commi pastry or bakery, with a luxury hospitality company.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is a distinct advantage.
  • A deep understanding of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and intricate dessert presentation.
  • A passion for quality and attention to detail in every aspect of pastry production.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, even during high-pressure situations.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in food preparation.
