Full-time, non-management Commis II role in the Staff Dining Kitchen at The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai.

Food preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food; wash and peel fruits and vegetables; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists; prepare cold foods.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food to ensure it is sufficiently cooked.
- Monitor food quality, set up and break down workstations, and serve proper portions in appropriate receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
Workplace and team duties
- Follow safety and security policies, complete safety training, and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and meet quality expectations.
- The work involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking and physical reaching, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified; no license or certification is listed.
