Position Summary
Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Prepare cold foods and maintain food quality, correct portions, and appropriate presentation.
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Portion, chop, wash, peel, store, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for doneness and monitor food quality during preparation.
Kitchen Operations
- Set up and break down work stations and serve food in proper portions using proper receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Check and maintain correct temperatures for appliances and food.
- Follow safety and security procedures and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
Professional Standards
- Maintain a clean and professional uniform and appearance, protect company assets, and preserve confidential information.
- Communicate clearly, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and meet quality expectations.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, pull, stoop, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is required.
Workplace and Schedule
- The position is based at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
- The schedule is full time and the position is not remote.
- The role is non-management and involves physical kitchen work.
