Kitchen responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods; regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen food safely in the refrigerator and follow recipes, preparation checklists, quality standards, and presentation standards.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnish; maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate busy-period assistance needs, excess food for daily specials, menu specials, and out-of-stock items to relevant staff.
Team and workplace responsibilities
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and address guest service needs.
- Build positive working relationships, support team goals, and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and physical requirements
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree and at least 3 years of related work experience are preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified as required.
- The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking and reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- The role requires moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
