Drawing Board Kitchen seeks a dedicated and motivated Commis Chef to join its kitchen team.
The role supports daily food preparation and quality production while working with senior chefs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes as directed by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Handle, store, and label ingredients and food items properly; follow recipes and portion controls.
- Maintain food quality and consistency and support kitchen operations during service.
- Keep work areas clean and comply with food safety standards.
- Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies deliveries.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet production goals and develop culinary skills under senior chefs' guidance.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; good communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Previous Commis Chef or kitchen experience is preferred, but training is provided for motivated candidates.
