Food preparation and kitchen duties
- Portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel produce; weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
- Prepare cold foods and cook according to recipes and established standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test food for doneness and monitor quality.
- Set up and break down the work station; serve food in proper portions and appropriate receptacles.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
Safety and teamwork
- Follow company safety and security procedures, report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect company assets, and keep proprietary information confidential.
- Communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, support team goals, and meet quality standards.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; bend, twist, reach, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license or certification is specified.
