Full-time, non-management position located at Palm West Beach, Palm Jumeirah Road, Dubai.
Kitchen responsibilities
- Prepare special meals or substitute items and cold foods.
- Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and thaw frozen food in the refrigerator.
- Portion, arrange, and garnish food; maintain food logs.
- Monitor food quality and quantity and ensure food meets standards.
- Communicate busy-period assistance needs and inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials.
- Inform Food and Beverage staff about specials and unavailable menu items.
- Cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
Team and workplace responsibilities
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and respond to guest needs.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is specified.
Physical work conditions
- The role involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- The role involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
