Overview

We are looking to hire a

Commercial Manager - Post Contracts and Real Estate

who will be responsible for managing end-to-end contract and cost management activities, including cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration for construction projects for our client based in

Dubai

– which is one of the largest companies in the region.

This position is a

contract role with an initial duration of 12 months and is renewable.

The role sits within the

Contracts and Procurement Department

and reports directly to the

Director – Contracts

.

We are looking for a passionate

Manager – Contracts

about managing contractual processes, ensuring cost efficiency, and safeguarding the company’s commercial interests across projects.

You should also have experience in/possess knowledge of

cost planning, tendering, FIDIC contracts, procurement processes, and contract administration within the real estate or construction industry

.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare budgetary cost advice and Order of Magnitude (OOM) estimates for projects
  • Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for tendering purposes
  • Manage the end-to-end tendering process including bid evaluation and award recommendations
  • Provide procurement and contractual advice in line with company policies and contractual obligations
  • Monitor and control project costs during design and development stages
  • Analyze cost plans and support value engineering initiatives
  • Review contractor and consultant submissions, including payment applications and variations (ARF, AVI, RTP)
  • Process contractor and consultant payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Evaluate and support resolution of contractor claims and variations
  • Conduct risk analysis and ensure proactive mitigation of contractual and commercial risks
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Civil, MEP, etc.) on cost and material planning
  • Prepare regular cost and contract reports for management
  • Knowledge, skills & experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Management, Procurement, or related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in contracts/commercial roles within real estate or construction
  • Strong knowledge of
  • FIDIC contracts
  • Experience in cost planning, tendering, and procurement processes
  • Exposure to contract administration and post-award activities such as payments and variations
  • Proficiency in tools such as

Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud

  • is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of construction and contract law principles
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure

Availability

Preference will be given to candidates available immediately or a maximum 30 days after accepting the offer.
