Commercial Director

Key Carbon is seeking a Commercial Director (full-time)

Key Carbon is an investment company providing capital to leading carbon project developers globally.

We are building a portfolio of high-quality carbon credit streams across multiple project categories and are seeking an experienced

senior commercial lead

to drive our commercialization strategy and execution.

This is a full-time role

working closely with the company’s executive leadership team (CEO, President and CFO) and responsible for the successful sale and monetization of carbon credits from our growing project portfolio.

Location: Dubai, UAE.

This role is Dubai-based; we understand that international relocation requires planning and location-specific considerations, and are open to a remote start for the initial months.

own the company’s commercial strategy and execution

, with a clear mandate to drive the sale of carbon credits across both

spot markets and structured, multi-year offtake agreements

.

The focus of the role will include commercialization across several project categories, including:

·

Clean cookstove credits

(2M+ credits per year from 2026 onward, including CORSIA-tagged and CCP-labelled credits)

·

European soil carbon credits

(spot sales from 2026 and large forward offtake agreements for vintages from 2027 onward)

·

Mangrove restoration credits

(offtake agreements for credits expected to be issued from 2027 onward)

· Lead and execute Key Carbon’s global carbon credit sales strategy across

CORSIA and voluntary carbon markets

· Develop and manage relationships with corporate buyers, intermediaries and market participants

· Build and maintain a strong pipeline

· Originate and close spot transactions and structured offtake agreements

· Define pricing strategy, market positioning and sales approach across the portfolio

· Work closely with the executive leadership team on commercial strategy and execution

· Significant experience

selling carbon credits

across voluntary and/or compliance-linked markets

· Proven track record of

closing carbon credit transactions

, including spot and/or multi-year offtake agreements

·

Strong existing relationships

with

corporate buyers, intermediaries and trading counterparties

· Deep understanding of carbon market dynamics, pricing and buyer demand

· Familiarity with Verra and/or Gold Standard methodologies

· Highly commercial, entrepreneurial and execution-focused
