Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy across the business (aligning with Project & Bids teams)
- Oversee all contract negotiation and structuring (clients & partners)
- Establish and enforce commercial governance frameworks
- Drive risk management, claims, and dispute resolution
- Ensure variation/change management processes are robust and effective
- Protect revenue through scope control and fee recovery
- Support bid/proposal teams on commercial positioning and pricing strategy
- Work closely with Finance on project financial performance
- Provide commercial oversight on major / high-risk projects
- Build and lead a high-performing commercial team
- Including the implementation of Project Controls (be it a role or direct involvement themselves)
Ideal Candidate from a Consultancy background

Extensive experience in commercial / contractual roles
-
Background in quantity surveying, cost consultancy, or commercial management
-
Strong experience in consultancy / construction / PM environments
-
Deep knowledge of contracts (e.g. FIDIC, consultancy agreements)

Proven track record in claims, disputes, and negotiation
-
Experience operating at director / senior leadership level
-
Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
-
Commercially sharp and risk-aware
-
Strategic thinker (not just operational)

Confident negotiator
-
Able to implement structure and governance
-
Credible with senior leadership and clients
