Role Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate intends to grow sales revenues and profits, gain new strategic opportunities and meet sales targets within an assigned geographic area or Business Unit. He/She will be accountable for achieving a revenue quota by seeking out new customers and maintaining productive working relationships with existing customers. additionally accountable for maintaining and expanding profitable business with large and/or complex accounts often consisting of multiple products and services.
This position is based in
North Iraq – Sulaymania Kurdistan
, considering covering other areas of the region.
Accountabilities
- Ensure meeting or exceeding financial targets for sales, profit margin, and operating profit.
- Develop SMART sales and marketing objectives/strategies such as retention, growth, and debts and implement and review periodically to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain and increase the existing revenue stream.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers through documented account plans.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region.
- Validating invoices and related supporting documents.
- Ensure collection and transfer of money to accounts on time.
- Registration of Business Unit as an approved vendor with all major accounts.
- Managing the importation, clearing, delivery, and safe return activities etc
- Agree on better terms of payment with service providers.
- Secure long-term Product Service Agreements (PSA).
- Resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain a close relationship with other regions & Business Units.
- Manage people in accordance with GC Leadership Strategy
- Provide guidance to team members on how to provide service consistent with Customer Based Behaviours.
- Remove barriers that may cause roadblocks for team members to achieve their goals.
- Prepare department budget and ensure definite sales revenue is achieved in line with GC guidelines.
- Key decision-maker for pricing, contracts, DSO, and customer disputes.
- Enhance customer relationships to retain existing customers and develop strategies to gain new customers.
- Monitor Sales Force Effectiveness through CRM, customer satisfaction, leads prospects, and Sales performance.
- Study the market to improve market share and know the company’s competitiveness, market trends, customer requirements, and feasibility of opening a new market to introduce new products and services.
- Initiate continual improvement programs by periodic monitoring and review of relevant data and applicable policies and procedures.
- Plan and provide development training to Sales staff.
- Conducts regular coaching and counseling with Sales executives to build motivation and selling skills.
- Enhance internal communication and interaction between Sales and other company processes in the production, delivery, and post-delivery activities and care of customer property to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Embrace the business SHEQ agenda and actively support organizational initiatives to create a safe, healthy, and quality-focused workplace.
- Approve local tender pricing and agreements
- Approve CRM quotes in case of price changes
- Endorse pricing policy changes and discount thresholds within Senior DOA.
- Set and approve sales targets, incentives, and commission structures
- Recommend OPEX/Capex investments, expenses for sales enablement (CRM, tools, products demo, equipment)
- Report immediately all incidents, accidents, unsafe condition to the immediate supervisor.
- Protect environment, operate on a clean basis, and achieve sustainable development.
- Accountable for own health and safety and do not put others at risk in the course of work performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (Business Management), MBA preferred
- Minimum 10-15 years of commercial/sales experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven track record of delivering country-level growth and profitability
- Deep knowledge of industrial & specialty gases markets
- Experience engaging regulations, government entities or industry associations
- Prospecting & territory planning
- Solution/consultative selling skills
- Negotiation & proposal writing
- CRM discipline & pipeline forecasting
- Sales and Team Management
- Proficiency in English and Arabic languages are mandtory
