Director – Commercial & Trading (Ammonia / Urea)
for a leading fertilizer producer, responsible for leading global ammonia and urea sales, trading strategy, and international market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global commercial strategy for ammonia and urea across key international markets
- Own and drive international sales performance, revenue growth, and market expansion
- Develop and manage relationships with key global buyers, traders, and distributors
- Define pricing strategies aligned with global commodity trends and market dynamics
- Lead contract negotiations including L/C structures, Incoterms (FOB, CFR, CIF), and shipping terms
- Oversee export operations in coordination with logistics, supply chain, and port operations
- Monitor global fertilizer market trends, supply-demand shifts, and competitor positioning
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multicultural commercial and trading team
Requirements
- 20+ years of experience in fertilizers / ammonia or urea trading.
- Proven experience in international markets and export sales.
- Strong background in commodity trading, pricing, and contract negotiation
- Hands-on experience with Letters of Credit (L/C), Incoterms, and shipping logistics
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree (mandatory)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

- Location: Algeria (Relocation role) – Open to GCC-based candidates
