Civil Site Engineer

Role overview

Site supervision and dewatering

• Supervise daily civil and dewatering activities; coordinate manpower and work allocation with foremen and site workers.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, method statements, project requirements, and safety procedures; monitor progress.
• Monitor groundwater levels, pumps, leaks, breakdowns, and discharge concerns; coordinate troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Support dewatering installation, operation, maintenance, and dismantling.

Drawings and coordination

• Interpret civil drawings, layouts, sections, levels, and dimensions, as well as basic dewatering layouts and site constraints.
• Highlight drawing discrepancies or site conditions to the Projects Engineer before execution.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and site representatives; attend meetings and inspections as required.

Resources and reporting

• Monitor manpower deployment, productivity, work completion, and quality; follow up on resource requirements.
• Coordinate materials and equipment with stores, procurement, and transport teams; check deliveries and monitor equipment availability.
• Prepare daily reports on work completed, manpower, equipment, material requirements, dewatering status, site issues, delays, and pending activities.
• Maintain photographs and site records and promptly report technical, operational, or safety concerns.

Safety and project support

• Ensure site work complies with company HSE requirements and report unsafe conditions or practices.
• Support compliance with approved discharge arrangements, permits, and project requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, project handover, demobilization, and completion activities.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant civil/site engineering experience is preferred.
• Dewatering knowledge or exposure is preferred; related construction, excavation, piling, shoring, or groundwater-control experience is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of deep wells, wellpoints, pumps, pipelines, and groundwater control systems.
• Ability to interpret civil/construction drawings and understand site levels, dimensions, measurements, and construction practices.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and documentation skills; able to supervise foremen and site workers.
• Working knowledge of MS Office; basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.

Pay and employment

• Pay: AED 3,500–4,500 per month.
• Employment type: Full-time.
