Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise civil engineering works related to building maintenance, repairs, renovations, and construction projects.
• Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to identify maintenance requirements and structural issues.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor fit-out, refurbishment, and construction projects from initiation through completion.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities as required.
• Ensure all civil works comply with UAE building regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and project specifications.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, cost estimates, and management presentations.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
• Support facilities management operations by providing technical expertise on structural, architectural, and civil-related matters.
• Assist in tender evaluations, contractor selection, and procurement activities for civil and construction projects.
• Maintain accurate project records, drawings, permits, approvals, and technical documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in civil engineering, facilities management, construction, or property development.
• Proven experience managing building maintenance, fit-out, refurbishment, and construction projects within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of structural systems, architectural finishes, construction methodologies, and building maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Membership in a recognized engineering association.
• Experience within real estate, property management, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage.
