Chief Accountant
Role Overview
Yasmine Palace is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of its growing F&B and hospitality business in Doha.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B/hospitality accounting, with hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and external audits.

About the Role
Yasmine Palace is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of its growing F&B and hospitality business in Doha.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B/hospitality accounting, with hands-on experience in full-cycle accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliations, inventory and cost accounting, and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting activities and ensure accurate financial records.
- Lead the month-end closing and ensure timely completion.
- Review P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
- Oversee AP, AR, bank, cash, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Reconcile sales between POS, payment providers, banks, and accounting records.
- Work with Procurement, Warehouse, and Cost Control on inventory and food-cost reconciliations.
- Review inventory movements and investigate significant variances.
- Maintain fixed-asset records and schedules.
- Manage the annual external audit and coordinate with external auditors through completion.
- Strengthen accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
- Lead and support the accounting team.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager and Operations teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in F&B, hospitality, restaurants, or catering.
- Minimum 4 years as Chief Accountant or Accounting Manager.
- Minimum 5 years of local experience in Qatar.
- Proven external audit experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong experience in month-end closing and reconciliations.
- Good understanding of inventory and cost accounting.
- Experience managing an accounting team.
- Excellent Excel and ERP skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working closely with restaurant operations and other departments.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
