Chef position in Food and Beverage & Culinary at Aloft Hotels in Garhoud, Dubai.

Food preparation and cooking
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for doneness and monitor its quality during preparation.
- Set up and break down the work station and serve food in proper portions and containers.
Kitchen, safety, and teamwork
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment; check appliance and food temperatures.
- Follow company and safety policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions or incidents, and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and communicate professionally.
- Support team goals, maintain positive working relationships, meet quality standards, and perform other reasonable assigned duties.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license/certification is specified.
