Chef de Partie (Pastry), a full-time, non-management food and beverage culinary role at Marriott Executive Apartments on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
Food preparation and service
- Prepare special meals or substitutes; cook according to recipes, quality, presentation, and preparation standards; and prepare cold foods.
- Control oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures; thaw frozen food in refrigerator storage; and ensure portions, arrangement, and garnish are correct.
- Maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
- Communicate assistance needs, excess food for daily specials, menu specials, and out-of-stock items to relevant colleagues.
Team, safety, and guest responsibilities
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and coaching employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company assets; meet quality standards and address guest needs.
- Communicate professionally, support team goals, and perform job-related physical activities, including moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is listed as a preferred qualification.
