Food preparation and service
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods.
- Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and thaw frozen food in refrigerator storage.
- Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishing, and maintain food logs.
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared.
- Cook according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Coordinate help during busy periods and notify the Chef of excess food for daily specials.
- Notify Food and Beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
Team, safety, and service duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
- Follow company and safety and security procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet quality standards.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs, communicate professionally, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
- The role involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking and movement of objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is specified as required.
